The WBTV Distribution app requires an internet connection with either a cellular data plan or a WIFI connection in order to stream or download content for "Offline" mode. "Offline" mode does not require an internet connection but will only allow you access to the content you have already downloaded.

 

By default, we have set the app to issue a warning when using your cellular data plan to stream or download.  This can be turned off or on in the "Settings" section of the app.  

 

We also have set the app to only allow downloads of content when connected over a WIFI connection to avoid cellular data charges.  This preference can also be toggled on/off in the "Settings" section so if you have an "unlimited data" plan with your mobile provider you might want to allow downloads over cellular in addition to WIFI.
